During the magical fallout of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the only recognized and legal bank - Stashbury has found itself on the brinks of bankruptcy and dissolution. The gold reserves were nearing full depletion and lack of business were signalling the end of the line for its operations. However the roaring 20's have opened up some new business opportunities with little push back from the magical communities for the bank not to delve into business with the non-magical society due to fears of exposure.

New business opportunities have brought rich and successful clients to setup investments accounts and setup vaults at Stashbury which resulted in regained trust by the magical community in the banks stability and security. By drawing powerful investors, the bank has decided to revamp its operations by implementing new security protocols that are still not sitting well with some members of the community. The new implementations include hiring of former thieves as vault keepers & using enchanted serpents as a part of their locking mechanisms. The bank defends their choice by claiming that their new proprietary methods are the reason the bank is able to achieve unparalleled security levels.
